Terms of Service

1Who we are

RecapVio is operated by Do Thi Thanh Van, a sole proprietor trading as DooVina, based in Me Tri, Nam Tu Liem, Ha Noi, Vietnam. Our full registered address is available on request.

You can reach us at admin@doovina.com. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean DooVina; "you" means the person using RecapVio.

2What RecapVio does

You give RecapVio a link to a video. RecapVio reads that video and produces a summary document — chapters, key points, figures, quotes and selected frames, each linked back to the moment in the original video it came from. You can also follow channels so new uploads are summarised automatically, ask questions across your own library of summaries, and export any summary to PDF.

RecapVio does not host, stream, rebroadcast or redistribute the source video. Every summary points back to the original.

3Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account, and at least 18 to buy a paid plan.
• You must give a working email address and verify it. We use it for receipts, service notices and password resets.
• Your account is for you. Do not share your login or resell access to it.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.

4Plans and credits

RecapVio is metered in credits. A quick summary costs 1 credit; a deep summary costs 3. Every plan, including the free one, comes with a monthly allowance.

When credits come back automatically

These rules are built into the product, not applied by hand:

• A summary that fails because of a fault on our side — full credit returned. If we cannot deliver, you do not pay.
• You cancel before we have incurred processing cost — full credit returned.
• You cancel after processing has begun and cost has been incurred — the credit is not returned.
• A summary that completed successfully — the credit is not returned, because the work was delivered. Money-back is covered separately in our Refund Policy.

5Payment, renewal and cancellation

• All prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you live. Applicable tax is calculated and shown at checkout.
• Payments are processed by our authorised payment provider acting as Merchant of Record. They appear on your statement, issue your invoice and handle the tax. We never see or store your card details.
• Subscriptions renew every month until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from the billing page in your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• We may change prices. If we do, we will tell existing subscribers by email at least 30 days before the change affects them, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Money-back terms are in our Refund Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

6Source videos and the rights of others

This section matters. Please read it.

• You choose which videos to submit. You are responsible for having the right to access and use that content for the purpose you are using it, including under the terms of the platform it is hosted on.
• A RecapVio summary is a derived reference work with citations. It is intended to help you decide what to watch, find a moment again, and study material you have the right to view. It is not a replacement for the original and is not a copy of it.
• Do not use RecapVio to reproduce a work in substance, to republish summaries as if they were your own reporting on someone else's work at scale, or to build a competing archive of third-party content.
• We respect the rights of creators. If you are a rights holder and you object to your material being processed, write to admin@doovina.com. We will remove the material and can block further processing of it. We maintain the technical ability to do so promptly.

7AI output — please verify it

RecapVio is an independent product. It is an interface built on top of large language models supplied by third parties. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any model provider, and we may change which provider we use at any time. Everything we advertise is a feature RecapVio itself delivers.

8Acceptable use policy

Do not:

• Use RecapVio to process, produce or distribute sexually explicit or pornographic material, or content that is violent, hateful, harassing, or that promotes self-harm.
• Use RecapVio to produce content that infringes the rights of others, or that is unlawful where you are.
• Use RecapVio for anything unlawful, or to process material that is unlawful where you are.
• Work around credit limits, rate limits or plan restrictions, including by opening multiple accounts.
• Automate access outside the interfaces we provide, or scrape the service.
• Resell RecapVio output as a bulk service, or use it to train a competing model.
• Attempt to gain access to another user's account or data, or to disrupt the service.

9Intellectual property

We own RecapVio — the software, the interface, the summary templates and the RecapVio and DooVina names. Nothing here transfers those to you.

You keep whatever rights you already hold in the material you submit. The summaries generated for you are yours to use for your own purposes, subject to section 6 and to the rights of the original creator, which this agreement cannot and does not grant you.

10Service availability and beta status

RecapVio is offered on an "as available" basis. Parts of the service are new and may change. We may add, alter or withdraw features. If we withdraw something you paid for and cannot offer a reasonable equivalent, you may cancel and ask for a pro-rata refund of the unused part of your term.

We do not promise uninterrupted service. Third-party platforms we depend on can change without notice, and that can interrupt processing.

11Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time by writing to us. We will delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used fraudulently, or that we are required to act on by law or by our payment provider. Where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close a paid account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused part of the term.

12Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for loss arising from your reliance on the accuracy of a summary. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

13Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force is always the one published here, with its effective date at the top. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use RecapVio after that date means you accept the new version.

14Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, and the courts of Vietnam have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not take away the protection of any mandatory consumer-law rule of your country of residence, and it does not remove your right to bring a claim in your local courts where the law gives you that right.
